After three attempts at the NEET competitive exam, student X approached us for guidance on whether to attempt the exam once more. Feeling lost yet hopeful, he sought clarity on his career path. We began with a comprehensive career assessment test, followed by two hours of intense career counseling sessions. This session revealed his strengths, aspirations, and career options beyond medicine, yet still within the healthcare sector.
During our discussions, he mentioned that he had self-taught himself to play the guitar. This highlighted his determination and discipline in learning new skills and pursuing activities he enjoys. As a result of our guidance, he now has an offer from Manipal University, Bangalore, to pursue a BA in Psychology and from MS Ramaiah Hospital for a BSc in Optometry. He is also awaiting offers from other colleges for BSc in psychology and BSc in cardiac care.
Through this journey, the student discovered new avenues in healthcare that align with his strengths and passions, providing him with a renewed sense of direction and purpose.
