Career Counseling in Grade 11: A Journey to Success with a Master’s at Columbia University, class of 2026

Student X was not enjoying the JEE entrance exam coaching and sought our career counseling services. Through a structured process, our experts identified her academic strength in mathematics and her passion for learning. Consequently, she decided to drop the JEE coaching and focus on her academic interests. She continued with regular career mentoring sessions to overcome challenges and thrive academically.

Her strong academic performance enabled her to apply to top universities in Bangalore, where she was accepted into Christ University for a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, and Statistics. Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19 during her second year, she thrived and thoroughly enjoyed her coursework.

Before completing her degree, Student X secured a position at Deloitte Consulting. However, after a year on the job, she realized the need to upskill and specialize further. She began exploring master’s programs in the USA, self-preparing for the GRE while working. Her dedication paid off, and she will start her MBA in Business Analytics at Columbia University in September 2024.

This journey, initiated by a pivotal decision in grade 11, exemplifies how personalized career counseling can provide the direction and confidence needed to achieve long-term career success.
